The Portable Geek
Posted on July 26, 2007 in the Geek Stuff category
We all know how much our geeks love their computers, and how much they love having their gadgets along with them wherever they go. These portable geeks need one more thing to make their lives complete - portable computer applications (that’s software to non-geeks). Portable apps are simply tiny versions of regular apps, but they generally don’t lack much in terms of functionality. Some don’t lack anything at all. These babies can all fit onto one USB flash drive (sometimes called jump drives or thumb drives), and can be carried around at all times. Need your email or documents when you go somewhere else? Not a problem. In addition, despite the fact that geeks love a challenge, they’ll find having all this great portability is extremely easy. Just grab what you need over at PortableApps.com. They took any of the work out of the process. (Oh, and did I mention that they are all FREE?) Throw ‘em on a flash drive and go, go, gadget!
